The Dock is an art achive and offspace in Basel. A really approachable place to explore what contemporary artists are doing in Basel. Offcut is a really cool material market where they collect and sell all kinds of wonderful leftovers from pipettes to leather to wood and what have you (hence the name Offcut). When they came up with the concept of creating an exhibition in Winter last year, where artists could respond to art from the DOCK archive, I was excited to jump right in.Recently I actually got to see the work,Gluck ist ein verb in Simone Steineggers atelier. Its a mammoth work with over 4000 yogi tea saying pinned meticulously to create the larger text.
In fact, it is a part of my current art practice to just engage in any artists work and create something as a response.
